Tiger Woods has had many emotional and physical problems in last year or 2. It has been a very frustrating 2 years as well. That frustration carried over to the Player's Championship on Thursday when he shot a 42 on the front nine and withdrew from the tournament. That is disappointing from many different standpoints including a fan standpoint.
Another frustrating round of golf had Tiger withdrawing and fans wincing. Will Tiger ever get back to his original form? I believe so but many do not. I think that it is over for Tiger. He will never win again and his career is over. I think that it might be time to call it quits for Mr. Woods.

College football already?
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=6479279
College football has been criticized the past couple of years because of the lack of a playoff at the end of the season. This is making news in May for 2 reasons. 1, spring football is beginning and there is a certain buzz stirring on campuses everywhere. 2, federal agents are questioning if the current football format violates antitrust laws. This is interesting because people want a playoff, but probably had no idea it violated a major constitutional right.
I think its weird that federal agents are coming out with this news right now. The current football format has been used for the past couple of years and not one time was legal action brought up. I hope they do change the current system. I think each and every undefeated team should get a shot at being #1.

The NFL lockout is over... or is it
The NFL Lockout is over as of right now. In a week, maybe not so fast. A judge in Atlanta granted the NFL players have a right to play and lifted the lockout. Owners are now appealing the decision and plan to continue to fight the ruling. Owners held press conferences yesterday about the matter.
I think this is very dumb. NFL is a major major major sport in the United States. It makes more money then any one single company or business in the US. People base their Sundays around football and most people base their Monday nights around it. Not having football would hurt many people and companies. The lockout would hurt the economy and thats not what the US needs right now.http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=6442393

Bad Things in April
In the last 50 years, the US has seen many ups and many downs. The downs, ranging from terrorist attacks to mass shootings. The only thing in common with these catastrophic events are that most of them occured in April. The incident in Waco, the Oklahoma City bombing, the shooting at Columbine, and the shooting at VA Tech just to name a few. Of course there have been other events like the assassination of JFK and 9/11 both did not occur in April. But it is weird that one month could be so scary.
CNN interviewed a professor from Georgia Tech and that professor said there is nothing in April that is different then anyother months. I think that there is something different though. Its not too cold and its not too hot. The weather doesn't affect the plan of destruction. As sick as it may be, there might be some truth to that. http://edition.cnn.com/2011/US/04/19/april.attacks.conspiracy/

Too Much Passion?
Opening day brings joy to almost all of the United States. Its a new beginning for teams that struggled last year, and its the fight to keep the tradition of winning for other teams. Its also fun for all of the fans of baseball, especially the ones that blow off school or blow off work to go to Opening Day at the ball park. This year's Opening Day will have a blemish from now on.
After the Dodger-Giant game, Bryan Stow, 42, was beaten down brutally in the parking lot by 2 Dodger fans. He was beaten so severely that for the last week and a half, he has been in a medical induced coma. His family distraught, helpless, and downright upset, has tried to stay strong throughout the waiting. This just go to shows, was it really worth rooting for your team so much that you critically injure another? No. They took the game way to seriously.

He's Back
Tiger Woods started the Master's 7 strokes behind and many thought he would end up about 10th and it would be a good showing for Tiger. Wrong. Tiger fought, and fought, and was probably a 4 and a half eagle put away from really contending for the green jacket.
If anyone seriously thought that Tiger was not the best golfer in the world, they were wrong. He is by far the best golfer in the world, and its not even close. He is the face of golf, good or bad. He is really close from breaking his dry spell. The shot he hit on 15 when he spun the club around in his hand if to say to whoever was watching, "I'm back". He's the best in this lifetime, and probably the best ever.

Be Grateful
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/news/story?id=6238684
It is always amazing to see someone who is not "normal" do something amazing. That is is exactly what Anthony Robles did. He won the 125 LB weight class national championship Saturday. He did it with 1 leg. That is why it so amazing. Anthony Robles was born with one leg. He said it has been a long and tough road but a rewarding one too.
What he did is amazing don't get me wrong, but look at it this way. It would probably be very difficult to take down or grapple a wrestler with one less limb. I have a wrestler friend who said it is absolutely an advantage. But that does not take away what Anthony has done and how hard he has worked to win despite his disability.
