Once again the BCS standings are in the news. This time because of the swapping of Auburn and Oregon atop the list. The BCS standings are standings based of a computer simulator that projects who the top teams will be. People don't like the BCS because its hard to determine who really is the best team in college football. Another issue is the jumping of Boise St. who is also undefeated. TCU jumped Boise St. this week.
I personally think they should do away with the BCS and let the coaches poll the teams. The BCS just complicates things as teams dont know which poll to acknowledge. They should just have a playoff at the end of the season.

Big Hits Equal Big Fines
The NFL sent out another memo to NFL teams Friday attached with a video to further reinforce the message of safety. The NFL has put these memos out because of the the 3 hits last week that left Desean Jackson with a concussion, Todd Heap with a stinger, and Joshua Cribbs with headaches. The three hits totalled $175,000 in fines.
Some defensive players think that the league is babying offensive players. Ray Lewis said in the defensive huddle a player is commended if they make a hit like that. I think the league is doing the right thing. The last thing the NFL wants is to have someone die on the field. The league is doing the right thing and people need to start following the rules or they will be suspended without pay.
